Raw is now 3 hours long…

If this is going forwards then there is one big reason it won’t work and a couple of smaller ones two

1) THE WRITING IS ALREADY SUB-PAR (which doesn’t make sense as being under par is a good thing…)

2) 5 hours of John Laurinaitis is going to drive people insane. He is a semi decent heel at times, ie. with the Big Show but stupid at others - see Cena. Just because he gets booed all the time doesn’t mean he’s a good heel, it can just mean people don’t like his character and find him annoying to watch, maybe enough to switch channels.

3) There’s already an issue with roster depth. One way or another, all the superstars tend to get used every couple of weeks.

4) If it means Superstars/NXT being encompassed into Raw, with Raw retaining a solid 2 hours then it might work. 3 hours of average is harder to watch than 2 though.

5) Raw being longer doesn’t mean longer matches for divas. Do they get longer matches on the semi-regular 3 hour shows? No.

Holy shit guys, I’m going to Miami in 19 days

Stop saying there’s a 1 in 6 chance of retaining in an Elimination Chamber match.

Does that mean that in a normal 1 on 1 match that there’s a 1 in 2 chance every time?

Does that mean if it was Santino Marella vs The Undertaker at Wrestlemania that Santino would have a 1 in 2 chance of winning?

It’s like saying if Barcelona played Braintree Town that Braintree would have a 1 in 2 chance of winning. They wouldn’t. They’d be 500/1 or 1000/1 to win.

Some people are portrayed as better than others so don’t force statistics when you can just mention that there will be 5 people trying to take the title and that it will be tougher than a 1 on 1 match.

Let’s get ready, ready…

I figured the first pay-per-view of the year is a good time to write something here for the first time in absolutely ages! So, here are some predictions for tonight’s Royal Rumble. I’ll be watching it live and I’ll try and squeeze some live thoughts in here.

WWE Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

I can’t see Punk losing, even with Laurinaitis as special ref. Prediction: CM Punk

World Championship: Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Mark Henry vs. Big Show

Again, I can’t see the title changing hands even if WWE isn’t seemingly a massive fan of Bryan. I can see Bryan going further down the heel road, too. Prediction: Daniel Bryan

John Cena vs. Kane

I really don’t care, so let’s say Cena wins. Prediction: John Cena

30 Man Royal Rumble

There hasn’t been much announced for this, other than The Miz will enter at #1. I’m going for Jericho to win, setting up a - no doubt awesome - Jericho vs. Punk match for Mania. Also, expect various legends *cough*Hacksaw*cough* to turn up. Prediction: Chris Jericho

So, there you have it. My predictions for what is usually my favourite PPV of the year. I have high hopes for this, so let’s see what happens.
